Samsung Galaxy i7500 - Technical Specifications & Release Date

Galaxy i7500, Samsung's Android smartphone, the first
Samsung smartphone with Android operating system
Google is set for release in Europe by end June
The rest of the world sees the release of the last
half of the year. The smartphone will probably cost about
U.S. $ 400 (€ 300). It would cost around Rs 25,000 in India.

Galaxy is a combination of 11.9 mm thick. The phone features a 3.2 -
inch Active Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode (AMOLED)
touchscreen. The touch screen is tempered glass.
It has a 5 megapixel camera with video capture and virtual
QWERTY keyboard. It is equipped with a GPS, Wi-Fi and WCDMA
support. The phone has haptic feedback, the first
its kind for a large touchscreen smartphone.

Haptic feedback is the use of touch in a user
interface design to provide information to a user. In
mobile, this means the use of vibrations
vibrating handset to know that a touch screen
button was pressed.

The Galaxy can access many Google services
Gmail, Maps, YouTube and GTalk. The phone supports MP3,
WMA, AAC and H.264.

The fact that Galaxy uses AMOLED display, consumes
less energy than TFT-LCD screen of the iPhone, which
improved battery life. This feature, coupled
with haptic feedback, it seems attractive and
consumer-friendly for those who still buy one
smartphone.
