Nokia 5230 Nuron Smartphone Unleashed

Nokia and T-Mobile USA has teamed up together to announce the release of Nokia 5230 Nuron smartphone. The new phone is expected to be an intelligent phone due to various superior features like intelligent applications, maps with turn-by-turn directions, Nokia's Ovi maps and many more highlights.

The Nokia 5230 Nuron phone comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen and features Ovi Maps, a free turn-by-turn navigation solution, IM, text, personal or work e-mail and full HTML browser.

The handset offers a nice experience for users in navigating different applications, playing games and networking with friends and relatives easily. T-Mobile USA has provided impeccable 3G service to gain web browsing and other related activities in an easy manner. This Nokia phone is also the first set to carry Ovi Store preloaded with it.

Ovi Maps in Nokia Nuron can offer the finest directions via pedestrian zones and shortcuts along with pathways through parks and buildings. More to it, the Ovi Maps come with built-in maps for USA, Canada and Mexico. There is also facility to use more than 180 country maps at nokiausa.com.

Micromax C112 Handset Launched In India

Micromax Mobile has launched its latest handset, the C112 in India with an attractive offer. Accordingly, the company will offer free Tata Indicom connection service with the phone.

The Micromax C112 mobile sports a 1.44 inch screen with 65k colours. The set is of candy bar form and weighs only 70gm. The phone has FM radio with preset for 20 channels and scheduled FM recording. The other features in this CDMA set include Speakerphone, SMS and Games.

The C112 has a 5-way navigation key to facilitate easy navigation around the menus. It also comes with a Hindi keypad, mobile tracker and a calendar. The phone can store 500 messages in its memory and the user can store 300 messages with the phone. This Micromax handset offers about 3 hours of talktime and 5 hours of standby time.

As per the tie-up, Tata Indicom will provide 200 minutes talk-time with per second billing option for the C112 phone. Users can also recharge with Rs. 38 as many times they want till May 31 this year and get 200 minutes local talk time free.

Micromax C112 Handset is expected to create a sensation with its nice specs and the new Tata Indicom offer. With a price of Rs.1699, the handset is surely an affordable pick for the Indian customers.

Olive FrvrOn Mobile Phone Launched With Price Details

Olive Telecommunications launched the FrvrOn hybrid mobile that runs on AAA batteries.

Priced at Rs. 1699, the phone is aimed at rural users who do not have access to a steady supply to power. The phone for the most part runs on a standard Li-ion battery. But when this battery runs out of power, the user can switch over to an AAA battery to continue using the phone.

The phone’s features include a 1.5-inch colour display, FM radio, polyphonic ringtones, stereo handset and speakerphone. Olive has previously launched a range of 3G enabled Netbooks called Zipbooks in India.

Nokia C5 Unveiled With Pricing Information

Nokia is all set to unveil its new phone the C5. The phone is a Symbian S60v3 FP2 device with HSDPA/HSUPA.

The phone weighs about 89.3g and features a 3.15MP camera which comes with autofocus and flash for low light snap shots. The camera on the phone can also record videos at 15fps.  The internal memory on the phone is about 50MB and has expandable microSD card slot up to 16GB. The phone comes along with a 2 GB card with the phone.

On the local communication, the phone only supports Bluetooth and USB whereas Wi-Fi is not part of the package. The speakers on the phone are stereo and the handset offers a 3.5mm audio jack for your favorite ear phones.

Design wise-the phone does not stand out but on the price front Nokia is set to make this phone an affordable one. As for the specifics, the phone may cost around Rs. 9000.
